The Albany Community Foundation was formed to create a way for expanding charitable giving in Albany. Our goal is to encourage and develop local philanthropy and to serve as a conduit though which charitable funds may be directed to meet the needs of local organizations and emerging community desires. It is a nonprofit charitable 501©(3) organization, tax ID# 33-1173216

Albany Education Foundation
Albany Education Foundation (AEF) raises funds for grants to Albany Unified School District certificated staff for projects with students in al curricular areas and all grade levels, preschool through high school. AEF uses an application process to determine grants, and does not fund teaching positions.

Albany Historical Society
The Albany Historical Society was founded to discover, preserve, and disseminate knowledge about the history of the Albany area and is a nonprofit charitable 501©(3) organization, tax ID# 20-5139665

Albany Police Activities League
provides a common meeting ground for police officers, community volunteers and the youth of Albany in the areas of sportsmanship, teamwork, goodwill, and fellowship. Through APAL youth are offered positive alternatives to crime and delinquency by engaging them in wholesome and character-building activities. Current programs serving Albany youth include wrestling for boys and girls from 1st grade through 8th grade and Kurukula a self esteem/self defense program for middle school girls.

Albany Rotary Club
Rotary is an organization of both active and retired business people throughout the world who join together to serve local communities and international needs. The Rotary Club of Albany raises funds throughout the year to support service projects such as scholarships to college-bound high school students in Albany, dictionaries to Albany elementary school students, and local beautification and improvement projects - in addition to school facilities in other countries.
